The YEGs group of NSEG ensure the future of the NSEG/IAEG through the promotion of the interests of young engineering geologists (YEGs) of Nepal and their increasing involvement in the activities of the NSEG and IAEG. Following are the major scope of the work of YEGs in NSEG.
- 1. To promote the involvement of Young Engineering Geologists (YEGs) in the activities of NSEG/IAEG by the positive affirmation of their important role in all of the activities of NSEG.
- 2. To promote the interests and needs of YEGs within the NSEG/IAEG, by:
- a. Organising and facilitating events that foster the networking of people within the YEG group.
- b. To facilitate the networking of YEGs with other members of the NSEG/IAEG.
- c. To facilitate the technical development of young professionals and practitioners by the provision of demand driven training and mentoring programmes and work opportunities.
- 3. To facilitate the communication and networking of all YEGs in all regions through the use of social networking, blogging and emailing.
- 4. To encourage the participation of YEGs in the wider NSEG, to ensure the involvement and promotion of a younger generation into the NSEG and IAEG.
